Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 2 tablespoon Lime zest
  • 2 tablespoon Lime juice
  • 2 tablespoon Tequila
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • for garnish Lime slices
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the lime zest, lime juice, and tequila.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and lime juice until smooth. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake. Garnish with lime slices.
  7. Let the cake rest for 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to develop.
