Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C) and prepare an angel food cake pan.

In a large bowl, whisk together the cake flour and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar.

In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites, cream of tartar, and salt until foamy.

Gradually add the remaining granulated sugar, lime zest, lime juice, vanilla extract, lime extract, and green food coloring to the egg white mixture while continuing to beat until stiff peaks form.

Gently fold the flour mixture into the egg white mixture until well combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the cake is golden brown and springs back when lightly touched.

Remove the cake from the oven and invert the pan onto a cooling rack. Let the cake cool completely in the pan.

Once cooled, run a knife around the edges of the pan and carefully remove the cake.

Dust the top of the cake with powdered sugar and serve with whipped cream and lime slices for garnish.
