  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the buttermilk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly.
  7. Spoon the blackberry jam over the batter, leaving a small border around the edges.
  8. Pour the remaining batter over the jam and spread evenly.
  9. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  11. Transfer the cake to a wire rack and let it cool completely.
  12. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
