  5. Place the pan in the freezer and let it set for at least 4 hours.
  6. In a saucepan, combine blackberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat until the berries release their juices and the mixture thickens slightly.
  7. Remove the cake from the freezer and top it with the blackberry sauce.
  8. Return the cake to the freezer and let it rest for another 30 minutes.
  9. Before serving, garnish with whipped cream and mint leaves if desired.
