  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a blender, combine the ripe bananas and silken tofu until smooth.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Pour the banana-tofu mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until well combined.
  5. Add the maple syrup and vanilla extract to the batter and mix well.
  6. Fold in the dark chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  10. Transfer the cake to a wire rack and let it cool completely.
