Cake pops were first popularized by baker and blogger Angie Dudley, also known as Bakerella, in 2008.

Prepare the cake mix according to package instructions and let it cool.

In a large bowl, combine softened butter, cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

Crumble the cooled cake into the bowl with the buttercream mixture. Mix until well combined.

Roll the mixture into small balls and place them on a lined baking sheet. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Dip each cake pop into the melted chocolate, allowing the excess to drip off. Decorate with sprinkles.

Place the cake pops back on the baking sheet and let them set in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
