Ingredients
  • 1.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 4 large Eggs
  • 1.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the egg mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
  5. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in a small amount of the batter to temper the butter, then add the butter mixture to the remaining batter. Mix until well combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Once cooled, slice and serve.
