Ingredients
  • 1 box Cake mix
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1/3 cup Vegetable oil
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1 can Sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup Lemon juice
  • 1 can Cherry or berry pie filling
  • 1 container Whipped topping
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon zest
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  4. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
  5. Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the cake.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk and lemon juice. Pour the mixture over the cake, making sure it fills the holes.
  7. Spread the cherry or berry pie filling over the top of the cake.
  8. Refrigerate the cake for at least 1 hour.
  9. Before serving, spread the whipped topping over the cake and sprinkle with lemon zest.
  10. Slice and serve.
