Ingredients
  • 200 gram Pie Crust
  • 0.5 cup Lemon Juice
  • 2 teaspoon Lemon Zest
  • 4 unit Egg Yolks
  • 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 4 unit Egg Whites
  • 0.75 cup Sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon Cream of Tartar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the pie crust ingredients and press into a pie dish.
  3. Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let it cool.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, lemon zest, egg yolks, and sweetened condensed milk.
  5. Pour the lemon mixture into the cooled pie crust.
  6. In another bowl, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form.
  7. Gradually add the sugar and cream of tartar while continuing to beat until stiff peaks form.
  8. Spread the meringue over the lemon filling, making sure to seal the edges.
  9. Bake the pie for 10 minutes, or until the meringue is golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 2 hours before serving.
