Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the lemon zest and lime zest. Mix in the lemon juice and lime juice.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the buttermilk. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
