  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the lemon zest and lemon juice.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just blended.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. In a small bowl, combine the crumb topping ingredients: flour, sugar, and butter. Sprinkle the crumb topping over the batter.
  5. Bake for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  6. Once cooled, dust the cake with powdered sugar before serving.
