  1. Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the package instructions and let it cool.
  2. Cut the chocolate cake into small cubes.
  3. In a 9-inch springform pan, layer the chocolate cake cubes at the bottom.
  4. Scoop the vanilla ice cream on top of the cake cubes and spread it evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the assorted candy over the ice cream layer.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining cake cubes, ice cream, and candy.
  7. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 3 hours.
  8. Before serving, remove the cake from the springform pan and top with whipped cream and chocolate sauce.
  9. Slice and serve chilled.
