Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large bowl, combine the blackberries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well.

Roll out one pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie dish.

Pour the blackberry mixture into the pie crust.

Roll out the second pie crust and cut it into strips.

Create a lattice pattern on top of the pie by weaving the strips over and under each other.

Trim and crimp the edges of the pie crust.

In a small bowl, beat the egg with water to create an egg wash.
