Ingredients
  • 2 banana Ripe bananas
  • 1 cup Unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Chopped walnuts
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9-inch baking pan or line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.
  3. Add the applesauce, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas and mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped walnuts.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan or divide evenly among the muffin cups.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes for muffins or 25-30 minutes for a cake, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  10. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
