Ingredients
  • 1 cup Butter
  • 2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 3 tablespoon Key lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon Key lime zest
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Key lime juice
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the key lime juice and zest.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just blended.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and key lime juice until smooth. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake.
  7. Slice and serve.
