Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the Kahlua, buttermilk, and coffee. Mix until just combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, dust the top of the cake with powdered sugar. Serve slices of the cake with a dollop of whipped cream and garnish with chocolate shavings.
