Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter. Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened.

Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and milk.

Add the carrots, peas, potatoes, salt, and black pepper. Cook until the mixture thickens.

Stir in the cooked chicken.

Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.

Roll out the puff pastry and place it over the baking dish, trimming any excess pastry.

Cut a few slits in the pastry to allow steam to escape.

Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
