The tradition of carving pumpkins into Jack-o’-Lanterns originated in Ireland, where turnips and potatoes were originally used.

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

Roll out the pie crust and press it into a 9-inch pie dish.

In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, salt, eggs, and evaporated milk. Mix well.

Pour the pumpkin mixture into the pie crust.

Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for 40-45 minutes, or until the filling is set.

Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool for at least 2 hours.

Once cooled, decorate the top of the pie with whipped cream, candy corn, and chocolate chips.
