Ingredients
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt cake pan.
-
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, water, and eggs. Mix well until smooth.
-
Pour the batter into the prepared bundt cake pan and smooth the top.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
-
Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, transfer the cake to a wire rack to cool completely.
-
In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and continue beating until well combined.
-
Divide the cream cheese frosting into two bowls. Add orange food coloring to one bowl and green food coloring to the other. Mix well.
-
Once the cake has cooled, spread the orange frosting over the top of the cake to resemble a pumpkin.
-
Use the green frosting to pipe a stem and leaf on top of the pumpkin.
-
Decorate the pumpkin cake with chocolate chips to create the face of a jack-o'-lantern.
-
Allow the frosting to set for at least 1 hour before serving.
-
Serve and enjoy!
