  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup Jack Daniel's whiskey
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 cup Whipped cream
  • 8 Maraschino cherries
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the milk, vanilla extract, and Jack Daniel's whiskey.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Once the cake is completely cooled, dust it with powdered sugar and serve with whipped cream and maraschino cherries on top.
