Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a loaf pan.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
