Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a cake tin.

In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed butter mixture, mixing well.

Stir in the mixed dried fruits, ground cinnamon, Guinness beer, and vanilla extract.
