Ingredients
  • 1.5 pound Chicken
  • 1 cup Carrots
  • 1 cup Celery
  • 1 cup Onion
  • 1 cup Frozen Peas
  • 6 tablespoon Butter
  • 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 3/4 cup Chicken Broth
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry
  • 1 beaten Egg
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onions, carrots, celery, and cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  5. Add the chicken, peas, and heavy cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Pour the mixture into a 9-inch (23 cm) pie dish.
  7. Roll out the puff pastry and place it over the filling, trimming any excess.
  8. Brush the pastry with the beaten egg.
  9. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
  10. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
