  3. Add a layer of chocolate ice cream on top of the vanilla ice cream.
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until the pan is filled.
  5. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours.
  6. Before serving, remove the cake from the pan and place it on a serving plate.
  7. Top with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and maraschino cherries.
  8. Slice and serve chilled.
