Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cloves
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Whole milk
  • 2 tablespoon Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the honey and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove from the pan and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
