  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the onion, garlic, carrot, and potato to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Stir in the frozen peas, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. In a separate small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in the cold water until smooth.
  6. Add the flour mixture to the skillet and stir until thickened. Season with salt and black pepper.
  7. Remove the skillet from the heat and let the filling cool slightly.
  8. Roll out the pie crusts and line a pie dish with one of the crusts.
  9. Pour the filling into the pie dish.
  10. Cover the filling with the second pie crust and seal the edges.
  11. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  12. Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the top crust.
