  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, oil, and water. Mix well until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. In a separate bowl, prepare the instant chocolate pudding mix according to the package instructions using milk.
  6. Once the cake has cooled, poke holes all over the top using the handle of a wooden spoon.
  7. Pour the prepared chocolate pudding over the cake, making sure it fills the holes.
  8. Spread the whipped topping over the pudding layer.
  9. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and chocolate chips.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  11. Slice and enjoy!
