  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix well until smooth.
  4. Stir in the Hershey's Chocolate Syrup.
  5. Gradually add the boiling water to the batter, mixing continuously.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 9-inch round cake pan.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  9. Transfer the cake to a wire rack and let it cool completely.
