Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 5 drop Food coloring
  • 2 tablespoon Sprinkles
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a heart-shaped cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar with a few drops of food coloring until desired color is achieved.
  10. Drizzle the colored icing over the cooled cake and decorate with sprinkles.
  11. Let the icing set for about 30 minutes before serving.
