Ingredients
  • 3.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1.25 cup Warm water
  • 1 tablespoon Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1 Egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds
Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes or until foamy.
  2. Add flour, salt, melted butter, and beaten egg to the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes or until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal portions. Shape each portion into a ball and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Cover the dough balls with a clean kitchen towel and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  8. Brush the risen dough balls with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and let the hamburger buns cool on a wire rack.
  11. Once cooled, slice the buns in half horizontally and use them for your favorite hamburgers.
