  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). In a saucepan, melt the butter and add Guinness. Stir in cocoa powder until smooth. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and caster sugar. Beat the eggs and sour cream together, then add the Guinness mixture and vanilla extract. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until well combined. Pour the batter into a greased cake tin and bake for 40 minutes. Let the cake cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. For the frosting, beat cream cheese and icing sugar until smooth. In a separate bowl, whip the double cream until soft peaks form. Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture. Once the cake has cooled, spread the frosting evenly over the top. Serve and enjoy!
