  2. Cut peaches in half, remove pits, and brush with melted butter.
  3. Place peaches on grill and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until grill marks appear.
  4. Remove peaches from grill and let cool.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  7. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  8. Stir in vanilla extract.
  9. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  10. Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with milk.
  11. Grease a loaf pan and pour half of the batter into the pan.
  12. Arrange grilled peaches on top of the batter.
  13. Pour remaining batter over the peaches.
  14. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
