Ingredients
  • 4 cup Granny Smith Apples
  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 4 tablespoon Unsalted Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 9-inch Pie Crust
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Peel, core, and slice the Granny Smith apples.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, all-purpose flour, ground cinnamon, salt, and lemon juice. Mix well.
  4. Roll out one pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie dish.
  5. Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust.
  6. Dot the top of the apple mixture with small pieces of unsalted butter.
  7. Roll out the second pie crust and place it on top of the apple mixture.
  8. Trim and crimp the edges of the pie crust.
  9. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  10. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  11. Remove from the oven and let it cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.
