Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 stick Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoon Cocoa powder
  • 1 cup Hot water
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the flour, milk, baking powder, and vanilla extract to the bowl. Mix until well combined.
  4. In a separate small bowl, mix together the cocoa powder and hot water until smooth.
  5. Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared pan. Spread the cocoa mixture evenly over the batter.
  6. Pour the remaining cake batter over the cocoa mixture.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Once cooled, dust the top of the cake with powdered sugar.
  10. Serve and enjoy!
