Ingredients
  • 800 gram Potatoes
  • 50 gram Butter
  • 100 milliliter Milk
  • 1 piece Onion
  • 2 piece Carrots
  • 2 stalk Celery
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 200 gram Lentils
  • 500 milliliter Vegetable Stock
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato Paste
  • 2 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Rosemary
  • 100 gram Peas
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Peel and chop the potatoes. Boil them in salted water until tender.
  3. Drain the potatoes and mash them with butter and milk until smooth. Set aside.
  4. Chop the onion, carrots, celery, and garlic.
  5. In a large skillet, heat some oil and sauté the onion, carrots, celery, and garlic until softened.
  6. Add lentils, vegetable stock, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, rosemary, peas, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir well.
  7. Simmer the mixture for about 15-20 minutes until the lentils are cooked and the flavors are well combined.
  8. Transfer the lentil mixture to a baking dish and spread the mashed potatoes evenly on top.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the top is golden and crispy.
  10. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
