In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is browned and cooked through.

Stir in the chili powder, cumin, salt, diced tomatoes, and kidney beans. Simmer for 10 minutes.

In a 9x13-inch baking dish, layer half of the Fritos corn chips, followed by the beef mixture, and then the remaining Fritos corn chips.

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
