  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. Spread half of the batter into the prepared cake pan. Top with half of the sliced strawberries, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  5. Spread the remaining batter over the strawberry layer. Top with the remaining strawberries.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and flour for the topping. Drizzle the melted butter over the mixture and stir until crumbly. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the strawberries.
