Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup Whipped cream
  • 8 leaves Fresh mint leaves, for garnish
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just blended.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Once the cake has cooled, spread the sliced strawberries evenly over the top.
  8. In a separate bowl, whip the cream until soft peaks form. Spread the whipped cream over the strawberries.
  9. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.
  10. Serve and enjoy!
