  3. Divide the mixed berries evenly among the muffin cups. Pour the butter and sugar mixture over the berries.
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, beat the granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until creamy. Gradually add the flour mixture and milk, alternating between the two, beginning and ending with the flour mixture.
