  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup Walnuts, chopped
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk. Fold in the diced apples and chopped walnuts.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Once the cake has cooled, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
