In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, oil, and vanilla extract together. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing well.

Fold in the chopped apples.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
