Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a heatproof bowl over simmering water.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt.

Gradually pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, stirring until well combined.
