  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1.5 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.75 cup Milk
  • 0.5 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 3 drop Food coloring (optional)
  • 8 pieces Gummy flip-flop candies
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and lemon juice to make a glaze.
  10. Optional: Divide the glaze into separate bowls and add food coloring to create different colors.
  11. Once the cake is completely cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top and decorate with gummy flip-flop candies.
  12. Let the glaze set for 20 minutes before serving.
