Fish pies have been enjoyed as a traditional British dish for centuries.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Boil the potatoes until tender, then mash them with butter and milk.

In a separate pan, sauté the onion and garlic until softened.

Add the flour and cook for 1 minute, then gradually stir in the milk.

Add the peas, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to the sauce.

Place the fish fillets in individual pie dishes.

Pour the sauce over the fish.

Top with the mashed potatoes.
