Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, peanut butter, and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, alternating with the milk. Fold in the chocolate chips.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once the cake has cooled, spread whipped cream over the top. Decorate with sliced bananas and chopped peanuts.
