Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.

In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

Gradually mix in the flour mixture, alternating with the plain yogurt. Stir in the lemon zest and lemon juice.

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
