Ingredients
  • 1 sheet Frozen puff pastry
  • 1 pound Ground meat (beef, pork, or chicken)
  • 1 medium-sized Onion
  • 2 minced Garlic cloves
  • 1 cup Mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn)
  • 1 beaten Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Dried herbs (thyme, rosemary, or oregano)
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a pan, cook the ground meat until browned. Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
  3. Add the mixed vegetables, salt, black pepper, and dried herbs. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut out heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
  5. Place a spoonful of the meat mixture onto one heart-shaped pastry, leaving a border around the edges.
  6. Brush the edges with beaten egg and place another heart-shaped pastry on top. Press the edges to seal.
  7. Repeat with the remaining pastry and filling.
  8. Brush the tops of the pies with beaten egg.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Allow the pies to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
