  3. Add the mixed vegetables, salt, black pepper, and dried herbs. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut out heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
  5. Place a spoonful of the meat mixture onto one heart-shaped pastry, leaving a border around the edges.
  6. Brush the edges with beaten egg and place another heart-shaped pastry on top. Press the edges to seal.
  7. Repeat with the remaining pastry and filling.
  8. Brush the tops of the pies with beaten egg.
