Strawberries are not actually berries, but rather an aggregate fruit, as each ‘seed’ on the outside is actually an individual fruit called an achene.
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 110 minutes. Even a beginner can handle preparing this dish. Number of ingredients: 10.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

Gradually mix in the dry ingredients alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Gently fold in the fresh strawberries.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, dust the top of the cake with powdered sugar. Serve and enjoy!
