Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease four ramekins with butter and dust them with cocoa powder.

Melt the dark chocolate and unsalted butter in a heatproof bowl over simmering water, stirring until smooth.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, all-purpose flour, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt.

Gradually pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, stirring until well combined.

Divide the batter equally among the prepared ramekins.

Bake for 12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still soft.

Remove from the oven and let the cakes rest in the ramekins for 5 minutes.

Carefully invert each ramekin onto a serving plate and gently tap to release the cake.
